Angus has played in various bands over the years including: Blues n Trouble, The Blue Hyenas, DevilTrain, The Trybe, Hogswash, The Big Wheel, Black Rose, The Creoles, Bennington Heights, Peach Melba, The Oxbow Lake Orchestra,  he is also a regular contributor to the Cruden Bay Folk Club. He has appeared on albums recorded by the Blue Hyenas, DevilTrain and The Oxbow Lake Orchestra. Angus has appeared on national and local radio and performed with Dougie McLean and the Trybe at Glasgow's o2 arena.

Angus Provides drum workshops for the Cruden Bay commmunity to raise funds for the local folk club. He also provides groups for people with learning difficulties and mental health and wellbeing issues in Scotland.

Angus McCurrach has played drums for 40 years. He has BSc. and MSc. degrees in psychology, a Post Grad Diploma in Social Science and a Diploma in Counselling. He is a member of the British Psychological Society and the Drum facilitator’s guild. He has worked in employability services, substance use services and as an assistant psychologist for the Scottish Prison Service. As a counsellor he has worked with Health projects in Edinburgh and Ireland. Angus is a member of the Scottish PVG scheme to work with children and vulnerable adults.
